I'm a freelance digital artist (originally on DeviantART as DarlingMionette. I offer commissions (you'll have to check my DA page for more information on that). I spend most of my time working on my art, volunteering at the local elementary school, or working with Girl Scouts (I'm the co-leader of troop 84504 of the El Paso, TX area.)
The Joys of Watchlist Cleaningposted Sep 26th 2011, 9:12PM
Mood: Cheerful
Cons:
1. 98% of the people I watched have left SA, in most cases, for DA.
2. 1% of my watchlist show up as not being watched when I visit their page, so I cannot unwatch them - even if I watch them, then hit unwatch again.
3. Apparently if someone gets permabanned and you're watching them, you completely lose the ability to remove them from your watchlist. Forever.
Pros:
1. Finding out that of your watchers that have left SA for DA, most of them now watch YOU on their new accounts instead of the other way around. <-made me giggle when I realized something like 40 people I used to watch cause they were "so much more uber than me!" now watch me there . It makes me feel like i've made great progress in the last few years :3, and of the remaining few that don't, they're all thousands of pageviews behind me (we're talking 50-90 thousand).
Not that I'm a pageview whore or I want to come off as really conceited, but I have to admit it's a good feeling to see how far I've come in the past year or two.
I totally stalked you from dA, hope you don't mind. You'll have to teach me how to use Sheezy, cuz it's SO confusing after being on dA for so long. D: lol
yay cubic! *hugs!* I know right? -__- wayyyy back in the day sheezy was coded really well and there were categories for art and everything, but they decided to revamp or something, I forget - in about 08 and suddenly it lost all functionality I've heard they've got new programmers again and they're trying to put it back together, but I guess we'll see. It's still missing a forum link, and you can't search art with keywords makes me so mad I can't find anything. Luckily there aren't many artists who post daily (we're talking 20-30 new pieces of art a day) so it's still easy to get through . I'm not sure what I think of the community yet.. I've met some really nice people, some really pushy people, and some flat out rude people but hey, more exposure = good right?
Lots o' tutorials to learn from! Its nice to know that there is somebody kind enough to take there time to make tutorials and brushes ect. They say that art comes from the heart and by the way I see it, your art is only so well because you are such a kind-hearted for giving so much. It was a pleasure to cross paths with you and I will take this opportunity with the greatest of pleasures to learn and further improve my skills. Thank you. c:
Thank you so much for taking the time to drop me this message, I really do appreciate it - your words are so very kind It was a pleasure to meet you as well, and I hope we continue to cross paths!
